As one of only five renters in the entire California State Legislature, I have experienced the struggles of finding the perfect rental in San Diego County. Additionally, we are in the midst of a housing affordability crisis, and I know that many people are struggling to find housing they can afford on top of the cost of bills and daily life. Community Resource Center

The Community Resource Center is available to assist people experiencing or at risk of homelessness with housing resources, rental assistance, financial education, and individualized support. The San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) is a nationally-renown public housing agency that aims to find creative solutions to fight housing insecurity for all people. They run three major programs in San Diego County: administering federal rental housing assistance for more than 16,000 low-income households annually, working with local governments to find solutions for homelessness, and developing affordable housing units through partnerships and investments.
