My Statement on ACA 8 - California's Congressional Redistricting

Today, I voted in support of legislation that would give voters the choice to redraw congressional districts in response to Trump's anti-democratic efforts to steal House seats. This is not a decision that I or my colleagues take lightly. Still, there is no way California can stand idly by to watch President Trump and his cronies intentionally chisel away at the fundamental pillars of our American democracy.
