Confused About REAL ID? Get the Real Deal on REAL ID at this Workshop

For immediate release:
OCEANSIDE, CA—Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath is sponsoring a community workshop on October 17, 2019 in Oceanside to help constituents navigate California’s REAL ID program.

Beginning October 1, 2020, state residents must present a federally-compliant REAL ID driver license or identification card for domestic air travel or to enter secure federal facilities, such as military bases, federal courthouses, and other secure federal locations.

“The REAL ID program has been the source of a lot of confusion,” said Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath.  “People want to know if they need a REAL ID, what documents are needed to apply, and how to get through this process.  Answering such key questions for the community is the reason that I wanted to sponsor this community workshop.”

The REAL ID Community Workshop will be held from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the North Coastal LiveWell Health Center, 1701 Mission Ave. in Oceanside.  Representatives from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will present about the new federal requirements and answer questions about getting a REAL ID.

Admission is free and the workshop is open to the community.  RSVP is recommended to reserve your seat.  RSVP here.
