(SACRAMENTO) - Tasha Boerner Horvath (D-Encinitas) took the oath of office to serve as the Assemblymember for the 76thAssembly District today in a special ceremony at the California State Capitol. The oath was administered by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. The 76th Assembly District incorporates Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, and Encinitas.
“I am humbled by the support our campaign earned from voters of all political parties and in every corner of the 76th Assembly District. I am looking forward to serving as the responsive and effective advocate that North County residents deserve to have in the State Assembly,” added Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath.
Tasha Boerner Horvath is a third-generation resident of North County, a former Encinitas City Council Member, businesswoman and former PTA leader with a track record of accomplishments on ensuring prosperity, sustainability and equality in the communities she serves.
Tasha earned an A.B.D. in Political Science and an M.A. in International Studies from Claremont Graduate University Institute of Politics and Policy. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Political Science. Tasha and her husband are the proud parents of two children.
