California has lost over 90% of its wetlands, but projects that naturally sequester carbon – also known as blue carbon projects – are one way we can fight the climate crisis in our backyard.

Please join me and The Nature Conservancy for a Blue Carbon Nature Walk at the San Elijo Lagoon, and see how these projects can help coastal communities reduce emissions.

We will provide you with information on blue carbon and its benefits, and I will update you on my Assembly Bill 1992 on blue carbon projects.

This walk is ADA-compliant, and everyone is welcome, including your pets, but they must be on leash. Please be sure to wear sunscreen, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water.

Do you have any questions about the event? My District Team is happy to answer them at (858) 481-7704.
