Knowledge to Afford College

With so many high schools seniors sending in their college applications this time of year, many families are searching for advice on how they're going to pay for their child's education once the acceptance letters arrive.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., I will be hosting a Tele-Town Hall with expert speakers from the California Student Opportunity & Access Program (Cal-SOAP). Join us to get answers from the experts to help you and your incoming college student make a game plan to take advantage of all of the various financial resources available. We will delve into grant opportunities, scholarships, the FAFSA application, how to cost-compare different college options, and more.

This will be an audio-only virtual discussion. Listeners can dial in at (978) 990-5158; Access Code: 2477815.

Be sure to submit any questions by Tuesday, October 12, 2021, to Assemblymember.BoernerHorvath@assembly.ca.gov with the subject line "Town Hall Question" and we will include them in our program, time permitting.

I hope you'll be able to join us!
