Are you a parent or guardian with questions or concerns about how to best protect kids from being victimized while they spend even more time online this summer? Do you feel like you don’t have a good enough understanding of how children and teens are interacting via social media or online messaging apps?
Join me virtually on Tuesday, June 23rd from 2pm-3pm for a free Child Online Safety Virtual Workshop. You’ll hear presentations from San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan and Wendy Waddell, Program Manager & Lead Presenter for the San Diego Police Foundation’s SafetyNet: Smart Cyber Choices®.
With our kids online more than ever, this is a great opportunity to educate yourself about common threats online so that you have the tools to protect your children.
Major topics covered will include social media, sexting, and online predators. District Attorney Stephan will also be speaking from her experience on what her team of prosecutors has learned about how online predators operate and what to be watching out for.
This workshop will be hosted via the Zoom Webinar platform. You will be able to type your questions via the Q&A and participate in the chat but will not be permitted to share your audio or video. Please click the registration link below to fill out an RSVP form. You will then receive a link for joining the webinar. You do not need to sign into a zoom account to participate.
