From Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner

__SALUTATION__

Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Last year, I requested an audit through the Joint Legislative Audit Committee to see why Californians were paying such high energy gas bills.

This week, the results on how to better regulate utility rates were released. We need more transparency to help make reduced utility costs for ratepayers a reality.

It’s crucial we have checks and balances when it comes to energy rates and match costs to how much electricity and gas are actually being used so consumers are protected.
