From Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner Horvath

__SALUTATION__

Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath Yesterday, La Costa Heights Elementary School visited from #AD77 and we had a great discussion about public service.

Truthfully, my favorite part of the job is when our young, bright students come to the Capitol. They prove that when we create an environment that instills positive values and when we properly fund our public schools, our kids will grow to be insightful young leaders.

If your class would like to visit me at the Capitol, please contact my office! I’d love to have you join me!

Cheers,

The last thing anyone should be thinking about during a medical emergency is whether they can afford the ambulance ride.

AB 716 will prevent consumers from being hit with those surprise bills for ground ambulance service, protect the uninsured, and help ensure that the costs are better covered for the heroic work of our firefighters and paramedics.

DISTRICT HIGHLIGHTS

Scripps Memorial Hospital Tour

Scripps Memorial Hospital Tour

I met with executives and health care providers and toured the Scripps Memorial Hospital campus in La Jolla. Scripps Memorial has been serving the greater San Diego community since 1924, and their research capabilities, educational opportunities, and staff are second to none.

We discussed their Level 1 Trauma Center, how to expand behavioral health services in San Diego, and how to ensure we have the necessary emergency health services my constituents need. I look forward to the completion of their new facility next year, along with their 100 year anniversary! #AD77

Beverly and Joseph Glickman Hillel Center

10th Anniversary: PATH San Diego

I had the pleasure of touring the newly opened Beverly and Joseph Glickman Hillel Center where we learned about the sense of community the center provides with Shabbat meals, mentorships and fellowships, as well as trips to Israel. This center focuses on supporting the future of our Jewish community and preparing our young adults.

We are so grateful that Hillel was able to open this expanded center after 23 years. We hope to continue to collaborate in supporting our local Jewish communities with Hillel and their future endeavors! #AD77
