Pride Month may end on June 30th, but here in San Diego, we celebrate it in July, too!

We know love wins in California, and we will always recognize the progress we have made and the challenges ahead. It was lovely celebrating our LGBTQIA+ community!

Blue Carbon Nature Walk
Thanks again to all the community members who attended the Blue Carbon Nature Walk. This walk was important because I am working on legislation to expand blue carbon projects in the state this year.

Qualcomm Tour at UCSD
Team Tasha participated in the Qualcomm tour at UCSD.
Thank you to the incredible UCSD leaders, directors, faculty, and research scientists for providing a briefing of Qualcomm Institutes' projects and partners and the work being done to positively impact our communities through Alert CA, the Drone Lab, the Center for Cyber/Archaeology, and the San Diego SuperComputer.

Chloe Williams and Haley Venard
I met with the AD 77 winners of the Minerva Scholarship: Chloe Williams and Haley Venard. It was wonderful chatting with these two amazing women and learning about their plans for the future. I cannot wait to see their incredible accomplishments along their academic journeys and afterward!
The Minerva Scholarship program was established by Women in California Leadership to empower women and enhance their lives. To this end, the foundation is committed to providing scholarships to select women of promise to help them achieve their educational objectives.
Nominations for the Environmental Hero Awards
I am currently accepting nominations for my annual Environmental Hero Awards. At this event, we will spotlight the efforts of extraordinary individuals and groups in AD 77 who are helping to preserve, protect, and defend the environment.
The last day to submit nominations is Wednesday, July 31st.
Assembly District 77: Field Representative
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner is seeking a Field Representative for her District Office in Solana Beach. Responsibilities include responding to constituent inquiries, representing the Assemblymember at community events, establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with local governments, advocacy groups and community-based organizations, organizing community events, and assisting with office administrative duties.
Candidates should possess strong public speaking and written communication skills, and have the ability to work on multiple tasks and meet multiple concurrent deadlines, work in a team driven environment and be able to find creative solutions to complex problems.
Assembly District 77: Fall 2024 Internship Program
My office is accepting applications for our Fall 2024 Internship Program, located at my District Office in Solana Beach. The internship is open to all individuals with an interest in learning more about state government and public service while building professional skills.
Interns will work as unpaid volunteers with flexible part-time hours. This role requires a three-month commitment, with flexible part-time hours and flexible start/end dates.
