My team and I worked hard all year to deliver for the 77th Assembly District at the Capitol, and I am happy to report that the Governor signed four bills!
I am extremely appreciative of my team and local community leaders during this legislative session. We passed bills that make our district and the rest of California a better place to work, live, and visit.
If you have legislative ideas, I want to hear from you! Feel free to submit your bill ideas for the next legislative session here.
Cheers,
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner

Ribbon Cutting: San Dieguito Lagoon Wetland Restoration Project
San Dieguito River Park hosted a ribbon cutting to commemorate the completion of phase two of its wetland restoration project. Caltrans, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), and the San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority are collaborating to create and restore 84 acres of wetland habitat within the San Dieguito Lagoon!
The San Dieguito Lagoon Restoration Project is part of the $6 billion, 40-year North Coast Corridor Program led by Caltrans and SANDAG. This exciting initiative is set to enhance transportation, the environment, and coastal access, ultimately boosting the quality of life for residents and the local economy. It is a positive step forward, serving as mitigation for the City of San Diego's El Camino Real Bridge Replacement Project.
Emergency Preparedness
Thank you to everyone who joined Team Tasha and the American Red Cross for our Emergency Preparedness Workshop! Community members learned how to prepare for emergencies such as fire, flood, and earthquakes. People learned what to put in a "go-bag" for each of their family members (including pets) and the important steps to take if an emergency occurs.
If you need help creating an emergency kit, visit the California Department of Public Health website.

Assembly Select Committee on Sea Level Rise & the California Economy
Thank you to all the panelists who participated in the hearing for the Assembly Select Committee on Sea Level Rise & the California Economy. As the sea level rises, so does the groundwater, having serious effects on our coastal communities and leading to polluted drinking water, asthma, cancer, and worse. As Chair of the committee, I was appreciative of the information our state agencies shared ensuring California is addressing the crisis.
