__SALUTATION__
Tomorrow, September 15, marks the first day of Latino/a Heritage Month! Rather than starting on the first of the month, Latino/a Heritage Month begins on the 15th because that is the anniversary of when Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua gained their independence from Spain.
Each week of Latino/a Heritage Month, I will feature a community member from #AD77 whose contributions to our region have made a significant positive impact on the lives of residents in my District and beyond. You can find these spotlights on my Facebook and Instagram pages throughout the month, and I'll feature them in my newsletter as well.
Cheers,
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner
Assemblymember, 77th District
P.S. My office is available every day to talk with you about your concerns or help connect you with resources. You can reach us at (760) 434-7605 or Assemblymember.Boerner@assembly.ca.gov.
