__SALUTATION__
Women in every sector are moving California forward. This week, we honored inspiring women on the Assembly Floor to recognize women's contributions to our state.
My San Diego colleague Assemblymember Weber and I escorted Senate President pro Tem Emeritus Toni Atkins for her twenty years in public service in California.
I am excited to continue Women's History Month celebrations this weekend by recognizing women in our community. Be sure to join me this Saturday, March 16th, at noon at the La Jolla Recreation Center to honor women in our district. RSVP by March 13, 5 p.m. for the event. See you on Saturday!
Cheers,
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner
Assemblymember, 77th District

Care4All Press Conference
Hundreds of thousands of Californians are experiencing gaps in Medi-Cal due to its current re-enrollment process despite still being eligible for coverage. This week, I was proud to unveil AB 2956 to ensure families and children don't experience a lapse in healthcare coverage.
In addition to AB 2956, I am pressuring the Department of Finance to keep its promise from last year's budget to keep children between the ages of 0-5 covered under Medi-Cal.
Assembly Committee on Higher Education
This week, the Assembly Committee on Higher Education had its first hearing. We heard a few bills, including Assembly Bill (AB) 1885 and 1914, of which I am a coauthor.
AB 1885 would allow disabled community college students to be considered full-time at nine units, making them eligible for the Student Success Completion Grant Program beginning the 2025-26 academic year.
AB 1914 would require the office of the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges to develop a model curriculum for a certification program for providers who care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Upper School Leadership Team of Pacific Ridge School
The Upper School Leadership Team of Pacific Ridge School visited the Capitol to learn about the legislative process. They were introduced during the Assembly Session, received a quick tour of the Assembly Floor, and met with me one-on-one in one of the committee rooms.
Rising Star
#TeamTasha was excited to join the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce in recognizing four outstanding high school students in Assembly District 77. Hearing from the future generation about their passions and achievements is always inspiring. Pictured from left to right are: Ruby Gao, Klew Delos Santos, Ruben Duarte, and Rami Kabakibi.

Solana Beach has officially completed its sand replenishment project. Sea level rise is a threat to our community spaces. I was happy to see Solana Beach officially complete its sand replenishment project after securing $11 million from the state budget to preserve our beaches and protect our infrastructure.
