It's back-to-school season!
I hope many of you had a great summer break! I know some of our students are excited to meet new people this school year, even if they aren't especially excited about homework.
With our wonderful schools and teachers, so many great things are destined for our children this school year. Let's remind them to enjoy every moment and that hard times will pass, too.

Irish Delegation
Recently, my colleagues and I visited Ireland to meet with leaders and discuss the opportunities for collaboration and learning. My colleagues and I met with the Northern Ireland Minister of the Economy, the Northern Ireland First Minister and Deputy First Minister, and the Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Simon Harris.
Topics included our economic partnership between Ireland and California, power sharing in Northern Ireland, women's leadership, energy security, the climate crisis, and housing.
I am excited to head back to the district and hit the ground running for the last month of the legislative session in Sacramento.
Concerts on the Green
Team Tasha attended Concerts on the Green in Kate Sessions Park. It was great talking with attendees, sharing state resources, and listening to great music. Thank you to Pacific Beach Town Council for having us and putting on these concerts every Sunday through August 18th!
Cardiff Dog Days of Summer
The dog days aren't over! Team Tasha stopped by Cardiff Dog Days of Summer and was happy to show support to Cardiff 101 Main Street President Joy Sheppard.
This free event featured numerous dog-related vendors, rescue groups, pet adoption agencies, and fun-filled dog contests!
Tour of San Diego Comic-Con
Team Tasha toured San Diego Comic-Con!
It was wonderful talking with the other attendees, exploring the diverse range of creative exhibits, and seeing the incredible economic benefits Comic-Con brings to the entire San Diego region!
Mariah Kallhoff
Our fantastic Field Representative, Mariah Kallhoff, recently had her last day with Team Tasha. She was an exceptional part of our team, and her presence in our office will truly be missed!
Mariah will start a new position in Assemblymember Diane Papan's District Office.

Assembly District 77: Field Representative
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner is seeking a Field Representative for her District Office in Solana Beach. Responsibilities include responding to constituent inquiries, representing the Assemblymember at community events, establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with local governments, advocacy groups and community-based organizations, organizing community events, and assisting with office administrative duties.
Candidates should possess strong public speaking and written communication skills, and have the ability to work on multiple tasks and meet multiple concurrent deadlines, work in a team driven environment and be able to find creative solutions to complex problems.
Assembly District 77: Fall 2024 Internship Program
My office is accepting applications for our Fall 2024 Internship Program, located at my District Office in Solana Beach. The internship is open to all individuals with an interest in learning more about state government and public service while building professional skills.
Interns will work as unpaid volunteers with flexible part-time hours. This role requires a three-month commitment, with flexible part-time hours and flexible start/end dates.
If interested, please submit a cover letter and resume to my Field Representative, Robson Winter, at Robson.Winter@asm.ca.gov with the subject line "AD77 Fall Internship Application: [Last Name]."

California Climate Action Corps is hiring!
California Climate Action Corps is currently accepting applications from Californians (18+) who want to serve as California Climate Action Corps Fellows for 11 months to mobilize communities through climate volunteer engagement, climate action, and education projects focused on urban greening, organic waste and edible food recovery, and wildfire resiliency throughout the state.
California Climate Action Corps Fellows earn up to $43,600 in living stipends and money for school for successful completion of 1,700 hours of service between September 16, 2024 and August 14, 2025.

There are two free mental health apps available to all children, youth, young adults, and families in California. BrightLife Kids and Soluna are two free apps to help families raise happy, healthy young minds. BrightLife Kids is for families whose children are 0-12 years old, and Soluna is for teens and young adults between ages 13-25.
