2025 San Diego Comic Con
Comic book and pop-culture fans come to San Diego every year, spending their summers at San Diego Comic Con. It is one of the biggest conventions in the country, and with so many visitors coming from out of town, our small businesses thrive. Before the big event, Team Tasha had the opportunity to see all the exhibits and explore the behind-the-scenes aspects of the convention.
National Night Out
Team Tasha had a great time at National Night Out. We stopped at Encinitas, Pacific Beach, and Ocean Beach to provide state and local resources to the kids and families who attended the event.

20th Anniversary - Cardiff Dog Days of Summer
Year after year, Cardiff 101 Main Street and the City of Encinitas partner for Cardiff Dog Days of Summer. Believe it or not, they just celebrated 20 years! Senator Catherine Blakespear's office and Team Tasha presented a resolution for the occasion. This event draws thousands of people every year, bringing families with their dogs together. I know this event will only continue to grow. Congratulations on reaching 20 years!

8/15 - Deadline to Apply to My Paid Internship Program
I am seeking two paid interns to join my district office in the fall. Each intern will earn $20 an hour for their work. Under the direction of the District Director, the interns will have an opportunity to learn about the operations of an Assembly District.
Interns will gain experience working with state agencies, interacting with the public in an official setting, attending outside meetings and events alongside staff, networking with community leaders, and more.
Candidates should have an interest in learning about the legislative process and how state governments serve constituents. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, and be proficient in Microsoft Word and general office tasks.

Concerts on the Green
Beginning Sunday, July 13th, the Pacific Beach Town Council will be hosting a weekly concert series, Concerts on the Green. This is a free event for everyone from 4:00-7:00 PM at Kate Sessions Park. For more information, visit the Pacific Beach Town Council website.
SUN Bucks Summer EBT
Summer is almost here, and SUN Bucks are here to help! Eligible families can receive $120 per child in food benefits to help cover the cost of meals while school is out. If your child received CalFresh, CalWORKs, or Medi-Cal during the school year, you'll get SUN Bucks automatically. CalKids - Children's College Savings Program
It is back-to-school season, and it is important to think about how you are saving for your child's future! CalKIDS was created to provide Californian children greater access to higher education institutions. Newborns and eligible low-income public school students may receive up to $1,500 in a CalKIDS account. This can help jumpstart your child's savings for college and career training!
Know Your Rights
I understand that many of us are feeling angry in the face of what is happening in our local communities and across the country. There are two free mental health apps available to all children, youth, young adults, and families in California. BrightLife Kids and Soluna are two free apps to help families raise happy, healthy young minds. BrightLife Kids is for families whose children are 0-12 years old, and Soluna is for teens and young adults between ages 13-25.

Rebates Available for Water-Saving Upgrades
