Join me on Thursday, May 29, from 6–7 PM for a free webinar on the hidden dangers of plastic microbeads—those tiny particles in personal care products that threaten our health and environment.
As I work on legislation to ban microbeads in products in California, I want to empower you with the facts: what microbeads are, how to spot them, and how you can support safer alternatives.
Don't miss this chance to learn and take action! RSVP now for the Zoom link at https://bit.ly/PlasticMicrobeadsWebinar or call my District Office at (858) 481-7704.

California Reproductive Freedom for All

Thank you to California's Reproductive Freedom for All advocates for meeting with legislative offices and continuing the fight to protect reproductive justice.
At a time when women's rights and bodily autonomy are under attack across the country, I'm proud to stand with advocates who are making sure California remains a national leader in defending access, equity, and choice.
Fight for Firefighters' Retirement Security

A few weeks ago, I participated in Fire Ops 101 with California Professional Firefighters, a tiny glimpse into the training and dedication needed to do their work. Our firefighters work day in and day out to protect all of us, and we must offer support to our heroes.
I am proud to co-author AB 1383 to create a fair retirement structure that honors their service and sacrifice to their physical and mental health, for the protection they provide for their communities. It's the least we can do.

Long Beach Pride

My friend & colleague, Senate Majority Leader Senator Lena A. Gonzalez, invited me to her district to celebrate Long Beach Pride and stand up for equality and inclusion.
Pride is more than a celebration—it's a reminder that representation and allyship matter every day.

2025 Kiwanis Annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival

It may have been a cloudy day along the San Diego Coast, but hundreds of community members colored the skies with their kites for the 2025 Kiwanis Annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival!
Thank you to the Kiwanis Club for hosting such a joyful event that lifts up our community, and to the organizer, Karen Froehner!
Alexander Aurich

Many thanks to my District Intern, Alexander Aurich, for his hard work over the last few months!
Alexander is a first-year student at MiraCosta College studying political science. He is involved in school, serving as a member of the student government, an honors researcher, and a tutor. Outside of class, he enjoys reading and exercising. After completing his Associate's Degree from MiraCosta College, he plans to transfer to a four-year university to earn his Bachelor's Degree before pursuing law school.
Alexander's favorite part of the internship was helping community members and getting to know Team Tasha.
Fun Fact: Alexander can speak Japanese.
