After two years of hard work and tough decisions made to better the lives of Californians, we have finally adjourned for the 2023-2024 legislative session.
Day in and day out for the last two years, we have worked to pass legislation that promotes sustainability, opportunity, and equality.
This legislative session, I was proud to send six bills on the Governor's desk and work on successful budget requests to help vulnerable communities and good governance.
While my work for Sacramento is done for the year, I am excited to connect with all of you back at home during fall recess!
Cheers,
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner
Assemblymember, 77th District
P.S. My office is available every day to talk with you about your concerns or help connect you with resources. You can reach us at (858) 481-7704 or Assemblymember.Boerner@assembly.ca.gov.
Tasha B. Specials on the Governor's Desk
These five bills are currently on the Governor's desk. Last week, AB 2756, my bill on pelvic floor treatment for birthing parents was signed. Thank you so much to my legislative team for all their hard work in getting these bills to the finish line!
Capitol Office Appreciation
Thank you so much to my team for working hard during the End of Session! I could not have done it without Team Tasha!
Grand Opening: Station Salon & Boutique
Congrats to Dana Osinga and her team for the long-awaited Station Salon & Boutique grand opening ceremony. We're thrilled you are able to celebrate now after opening during the pandemic.
Cities of the Future
Team Tasha attended the "Cities of the Future" San Diego Red Carpet Premiere and met with incredibly innovative engineers from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). These engineers partnered with filmmakers to create an inspiring film that stirs the imagination toward what our future cities could look like. The IMAX film is currently playing at the Fleet Science Center.
My team was lucky to have chatted with Mary Jane Dodge, Executive Producer of "Cities of the Future."
Jake
Congratulations to Jake on completing his internship with my office! Jake is a rising senior at Reed College and plans to attend law school and study property law and international law.
During his internship, Jake enjoyed connecting with community members and seeing how our office directly impacts AD 77.
Fun Fact: Jake created his own Lo-Fi album on Spotify. He also hosts a radio show at Reed College.
