Congratulations to the newly elected council of the City of Encinitas, and a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing councilmembers! We appreciate the hard work and dedication of Mayor Tony Kranz, Deputy Mayor Allison Blackwell, and Councilmember Kellie Hinze over the past few years. I look forward to collaborating with incoming Mayor Bruce Ehlers, Councilmember Luke Shaffer, and Councilmember Jim O'Hara.

San Diego Food Bank

The San Diego Food Bank supports over 400,000 people a month.

Since 2006, The Food 4 Kids Backpack Program has provided weekend food packages to chronically hungry elementary school students. The organization also offers a senior food program, a federal program that gives monthly supplemental food packages to income-eligible senior citizens aged 60 and over.

The Coronado Public Library Has Expanded

The City of Coronado recently expanded its public library! In 2023, I obtained $150,000 from the state budget to add study rooms and refurbish the library's historic reading room for veterans, students, families, and children to enjoy!

The Coronado Public Library is one of the busiest, offering over 700 programs for the public to enjoy!

Congratulations on the library's additions - community members will love them!

Every year, the Ocean Beach Community Foundation (OBCF) donates food and toys to families in San Diego. Recently, we donated food and toys to 100 families and 70 seniors for the holiday season. Thank you to OBCF President Shelly Parks for organizing this annual event.

Assembly District 77: Internship Program

My office is accepting applications for our Spring Internship Program, located at my District Office in Solana Beach. The internship is open to all individuals with an interest in learning more about state government and public service while building professional skills.

Interns will work as unpaid volunteers with flexible part-time hours. This role requires a three-month commitment, with flexible part-time hours and flexible start/end dates.
