Assemblymember Tasha BoernerIn 2021, I secured state funding to expand access to e-bikes, and just yesterday, the California Air Resources Board officially launched the program we have worked so hard to bring to fruition!

The initial rollout of the program was so successful that the website is no longer accepting applications, but don't worry, I'll be watching closely for the next opportunity for you to get an e-bike voucher.

In the meantime, feel free to brush up on e-bike safety tips and check out the income eligibility chart to see if you qualify for the program.

Cheers,

DISTRICT HIGHLIGHTS

Encinitas Heritage Tree Lighting

ad77 Encinitas Heritage Tree Lighting

For the last 30 years, the annual Encinitas Heritage Tree Lighting has been a staple in AD 77 to welcome the holiday season! My daughter, Maya, and I joined the Encinitas Historical Society, Encinitas Rotary Club, and the City of Encinitas to light up the Norfolk Pine tree located in Moonlight Beach. The tree was planted in 1952 and has been growing every year - just like this tradition, so much so that the tree is now 90 feet tall!

Happy 20th Birthday to Friends of Rose Creek!

Friends of Rose Creek has championed environmental and racial justice, making nature accessible to everyone in their community. In 2023, the organization was honored with my Environmental Hero Award for its dedication to promoting environmental justice. Their research has influenced wetlands policies in San Diego, creating a healthier and more equitable environment for everyone!

Encinitas Holiday Parade
