Assemblymember Tasha Boerner

Beginning tomorrow at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., all lanes of southbound I-5, from SR-52 to Mission Bay Drive, will be closed to conduct roadwork and culvert replacement. For alternate routes on the day of construction, I recommend visiting quickmap.dot.ca.gov. Plan to add more travel time, especially if you have important appointments to get to.

We will make it through Carmageddon together!

Cheers,

CAPITOL HIGHLIGHTS

Bill Addressing Project Vela Headed to Governor's Desk

Assemblymember Boerner Project Vela

AB 87 is headed to the Governor's Desk! This legislation ensures that California's Density Bonus Law is used as intended: to build affordable homes, not luxury hotels. AB 87 would stop this misuse by clarifying that Density Bonus concessions are exclusively for residential projects.

Working to Reduce Your Electric Bill

Assemblymember Boerner reduce electric bill

My Tasha B. Special — AB 1017 is headed to the Governor's Desk after passing the Senate Floor 39-0!

AB 1017 — Reporting Gas & Electric Distribution Capacities: This bill would ensure that electricity and gas rates are set by a more transparent process. This bill would require gas and electric companies to include their distribution capacity in their annual reports to the CPUC.

It's a win for accountability and a smarter energy future!

First in the Nation Plastic Microbeads Bill Headed
to Governor's Desk

Assemblymember Boerner ab 823 plastic microbeads

AB 823 is headed to the Governor's desk!

AB 823 would ban the sale of non-rinse-off personal care products and cleaning products containing plastic microbeads by January 1, 2029, and prohibit the sale of personal care products containing plastic glitter by January 1, 2030.

With AB 823, we're taking meaningful action to protect Californians by phasing out harmful microplastics in everyday products.

I'm proud to work alongside passionate environmental leaders to push this bill forward. Thank you, 5 Gyres, Clean Water Action California, Breast Cancer Prevention Partners, and Californians Against Waste!
