__SALUTATION__
During May, we celebrate the culture and history of Asian American & Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
What started as a ten-day celebration in 1978 moved to a month-long commemoration in 1992 to recognize the contributions of our AAPI community and their tremendous impact on our society, culture, and daily life.
Join me this month as we recognize our AAPI community members for their remarkable contributions!
Cheers,
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner
Assemblymember, 77th District
P.S. My office is available every day to talk with you about your concerns or help connect you with resources. You can reach us at (858) 481-7704 or Assemblymember.Boerner@assembly.ca.gov.

Janet Chin
This week, for AAPI Heritage Month, I want to spotlight the incredible leaders in my district.
My first honoree is Janet Chin. She is an active community member who participates in and volunteers for events in the district. She is a veteran, and for her service, she has earned the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. She also earned the California Achievement Medal and Professional Development Ribbon from the CA State Military Reserves. She has dedicated her life to public service and serves as my District Director.
Thank you for your hard work, Janet! We all appreciate you!

She co-founded MindFull Movement, a platform that uses artistic expression to facilitate dialogue, healing, and activism. Daja empowers individuals to engage with social issues and amplify underrepresented voices.
