__SALUTATION__
This week, the State Assembly returned to legislative session in Sacramento. We will work through hundreds of bills in the next four weeks on important topics including housing, public safety, environmental protection, public education, and much more. Many of these bills will be controversial. I read each bill, evaluate its merits, and review the feedback from my constituents. Some interest groups will try to share information, especially over social media, to support one position or another. While some of this information may be accurate, it is often with a spin, slant, or bias.
If you are passionate about a bill, I encourage you to research beyond social media; read the bill, the bill analysis, and contact my office to let me know how you feel. I am always happy to hear your thoughts on what matters most to you.
Thank you for caring!
Cheers,
Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath
Assemblymember, 76th District

- Joined dog lovers and neighbors for the 14th Annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer in Encinitas where I recognized the City of Encinitas and Cardiff 101 Main Street for organizing the festival which featured over 100 dog-related vendors, live music, animal rescue organizations, and pet adoption opportunities.

I also recognized New Village Arts Theatre who has produced compelling and diverse plays in Carlsbad Village since 2001.

I recognized Encinitas Librarian Patricia Williams who organized the first festival in 2010 and continues to organize this signature event every year to celebrate our two diverse cultures.
