Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath

__SALUTATION__

Assemblymember Tasha Boerner HorvathThis week it has been great to be back in our district, meeting with experts, community leaders, elected officials, and representatives of organizations from Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, and Camp Pendleton. As I mentioned in my community swearing in, my office hosts quarterly Advisory Councils on each of nine issue areas ranging from public safety, jobs, and veterans to education, the environment, and homelessness. It was refreshing and invigorating to discuss current bills and potential future solutions that strengthen our communities in the 76th Assembly District. We rolled up our sleeves, dug into legislation and really debated some of the key issues this legislative cycle. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to join us!

Cheers,

In case you missed it
… My bill, AB467, to address long-standing gender pay disparities in competitive sports by requiring all athletic competitions held on state lands to offer equal compensation prize regardless of gender cleared its first legislative hurdle by passing out of committee on a 6-0, bipartisan vote! Check out the interview I did yesterday with CNN on AB467.
