DISTRICT HIGHLIGHTS

Standing in Solidarity with Kaiser Mental Health Workers

ad77 Standing in Solidarity with Kaiser Mental Health Workers

I'm excited to support the mental health workers at San Diego Medical Center in advocating for a fair contract with Kaiser. It's essential that Kaiser values its employees and prioritizes the safety and well-being of everyone involved-workers and patients alike.

Encinitas 101 Main Street Association Installation

ad77 Encinitas 101 Main Street Association Installation

For over 40 years, the Encinitas 101 Main Street Association has been putting together family-friendly community events for Encinitas families. These events would not be possible without the help of their team or board of directors.

Recently, I attended the nonprofit's installation dinner to recognize outgoing President Zach Smith and Board Member Emily Hester for their contributions to our community and to celebrate the installation of Board Member Katie Fletcher.

Encinitas is so grateful for everyone's hard work in creating these events that bring us closer together.

Ribbon Cutting: Rancho Coastal Humane Society

ad77 Rancho Coastal Humane Society

Exciting news: The Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) is growing!

For over 64 years, this remarkable nonprofit has passionately dedicated itself to the welfare of animals in the San Diego area.

I was delighted to help secure $2 million from the state budget last year to support their mission. With this funding, RCHS has launched several incredible new facilities, including Charlotte's Medical Center, Vivian's Learning Center, Brock's Community Pet Food Bank, a dynamic training space, and an enhanced adoption center.

I couldn't be more enthusiastic about this new chapter for RCHS and the positive impact it will have on the lives of countless animals!

This organization empowers women artists, offering them valuable opportunities to share their creativity. My team reconnected with my former Woman of Impact in Arts and Culture, celebrating her incredible work in supporting women artists throughout San Diego.

Celebrating the Community Resource Center's 45th Anniversary

ad77 Celebrating the Community Resource Center 45th Anniversary

Congratulations to the Community Resource Center (CRC) on reaching its 45th anniversary! For 45 years, the CRC has been dedicated to improving the quality of life in our local community and has evolved since its founding in 1979.

Team Tasha was happy to join alongside Senator Catherine Blakespear's team to present a resolution to CRC Chief Executive Officer John Van Cleef and CRC Board member Maddie Altschuler, recognizing the four decades of service they have provided to our region. Included in the celebration were Representative Mike Levin and County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer's team.

Lights on After School
